Munagaku Mutton

Drumstick leaves are very nutritious and helpful in treating many body ailments like anemia, dandruff, hair loss,to reduce anemia etc.They can be used to prepare dals or stews.This recipe is a combination of mutton with drumstick leaves and lots of delectable spices.

Ingredients:
Meat
1.5 pounds mutton pieces with bone
salt to taste
1/4 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
2 teaspoons lemon juice

Gravy
one bunch drumstick leaves
2 big tomatoes diced
1 medium onion diced
2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
2 teaspoons ginger garlic paste
2 sprig curry leaves


Procedure:
1.Combine all the ingredients from the meat list and pressure cook the meat for  10 whistles until meat is tender.Now add the drumstick leaves and cook for 2 whistles more.



2.In a pan heat the oil and add cumin seeds and let splutter.Then add the onions,curry leaves and saute till translucent.Now add the ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell goes away.Now add the tomatoes and cook till soft and cooked.


3.Add the meat mixture to the onion mixture,add water and adjust coriander powder, red chili powder, salt and garam masala to your taste and let cook for 10 more minutes in a medium flame covered to let the flavors steep.


Tips:
Serve with roti or rice.
You can also add grated dry coconut to this mixture.
